(Actif dans la scène de Montréal)
(La biographie est seulement disponible en anglais) A renowned musician, Rémi Bolduc is among the best alto saxophonists in Canada. His rich and original musical language, his intensity, and his spirit never fail to entrance his audiences. He has played in clubs across Canada, and in New York, Paris, Geneva, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Peking. After years playing with the best musicians in the country, he founded his own band, made up of bassist Zack Lober, drummer David Laing, and pianist John Roney, who join forces to interpret Bolduc’s original compositions on the ensemble’s latest recording, Renaissance. Increasingly attracted by the creative process, Bolduc enjoys collaborating with other high quality musicians who have an individual approach. This May (2002), for the second consecutive year, he has been invited to teach at the Banff Centre for the Arts along with pianist Kenny Werner. Bolduc also teaches saxophone and
improvisation at McGill and Concordia universities.
