Photo - Montreal jazz community (Québec).

A photo session regrouping the majority of Montreal and Québec jazz musicians, will take place on International Music Day, June 21st, at Théâtre de Verdure, Parc Lafontaine, Montreal.

This photo takes its cue from the famous Harlem photo shoot, ¨A Great day in Harlem¨, taken in August 1958, in which 57 de jazz artists appear. The photo includes Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Sony Rollins, Lester Young, Count Basie, Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, to name just a few….

You are all invited to take part in this photo session, which will be held on June 21st at 12hrs (noon), at the Théâtre de Verdure, Parc Lafontaine, Montreal.

Following the photo session, refreshments will be served at the Casa Obsura, 4381 rue Papineau (close to the park). A shuttle service will be available for use by musicians, on request.
