Terms of Use for Basic Access:The primary focus of this site is Jazz in Montreal and discussions in the forums should remain focused as much as possible on these topics. Digressions will be tolerated as long as there is in the opinion of the moderators some indirect connection to jazz in the city. Commercial postings are only permitted by users with extended access and are to be in the form of an announcement only. All other commercial postings will be removed. It is also expected that users will conduct themselves in a civilized manner and will avoid slurs, vulgar language, bashing and any other similar behaviour. Jazz Montreal reserves the right to remove submission that it determines violates the spirit of this site and individuals privileges may be suspended for repeated abuse. Individuals are responsible for what they post on the site. Jazz Montreal reserves the right to change these terms of use and the privacy statement and will inform users of such a change by an email sent to the address on file.

Short Privacy Statement:All information collected by this site will be used exclusively for the administration of the Jazz Montreal site and will not be transferred to a third-party without your authorization.(Exceptions: Parties involved in a relevant legal action may be provided with this information upon appropriate request.) Jazz Montreal will not use this information for any adverstising or marketing purposes other than those you have opted in above (What's On and New Releases). These announcements lists will be mail from Jazz Montreal's servers and your email address will not given to the venues or the labels making the announcements contained in the message. For "Basic Access", your telephone number will be used to confirm your identity only. For other levels of service greater than Basic, additional information will be requested but will be subject to the same restrictions on use. Contributor - submit reviews and articles to be posted on the site
Moderator - manage and directs as necessary a discussion list
Editor - review, edit and approve submissions
Translator - translate submissions from French to English or vice versa
